I think you once asked for ideas of what to do - some that I thought of today were Minute to Win it (We did this with my fam at Christmas and all of us loved it grownups and kids alike), laser tag, or nerf gun wars - Braden loves nerf guns. I'll send more ideas as they come. It will be fun. Looking forward to a little road trip and vacation.
Ohh I like the idea of having the meals assigned before hand. Then we can plan and prepare better. Also, I think swimming and building sand castles can take up the better portion of at least one of the days.
Check in is a 4:00pm on the 24th and check out is at 11:00 on the 27th. So we have two full days and two parts. It should be lots of fun. If the weather is great we can spend most of the time at the water and do some family activities at night. The theme we picked is the Manti Olympic. More info to come. I do want everyone to come with their favorite scripture/story.
Jared mentioned we are all picking meals to cook. Is this where we pick our times? There are 8 meals, we could all be in charge of two? That's figuring on Landon and family being 1, Jared and Family being 2, Jeff and Family being 3, and Spring, Steve, and Mark being 4. Jared and I would like to do a breakfast and dinner.
Okay so here is what I have I need it typed out so I can see it -
Tues dinner - Jeff and Nicole Wed. breakfast - Steve and Spring Wed. lunch - Justina and Landon Wed. dinner - Jared and Laurel Thursday breakfast - Jared and Laurel Thursday lunch - Jeff and Nicole Thursday dinner - Justina and Landon Friday breakast - Steve and Spring
Is that correct? I think since we all have kiddos we should post what we will be cooking so if our kids will not eat that particular food we can be prepared to bring something else for them. We are planning on doing wraps (meat, cheese, tortillas, peppers, lettuce, etc., etc., and chips for our lunch) not sure about dinner yet, but something in the crockpot. I am all about easy. :) Maybe hawaiian haystacks (chicken, rice, cheese, olives, etc.,). Alright that is all for now.
Justina, that's funny. I was just about to type up something like this. Jeff and I had planned on doing something like Hawaiian Haystacks, but we'll think of something else. :) No worries. I'm glad we'll be posting what we're making here so we don't make/eat the same thing. :)
I am planning on on pancake, bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuit and gravy. I'll bring cereal too if I know what kind the kids like. I need every ones favorite color and candy bar/candy.
My boys love Cheerios. Joshua's favorite color varies between red and blue depending on the day. Nathan LOVES blue. They love pretty much any candy/candy bar.
Also, we thought we'd do fajitas with a side of dutch oven potatoes for dinner, and then pita sandwiches for the lunch that we have. My mom said she found some gluten free pita pockets, so I thought we'd grab some and then everyone can have it.
two more weeks. I can't believe how fast time is passing by. I'm getting excited to have everyone together. Remember what matters most and most things don't matter. (GOOD ONE) love ya
so we finally have it ironed out as to what we are making. good thing too cause it is next week! We are going to have baked potato bar for dinner and omelets or waffles for breakfast. That way everyone can kind of pick their own thing. As for cereal, dynobytes tend to be popular. Leora-pink, Morgan-purple, Parker-green, Spencer doesn't care yet. Candy bars, well we all like reeses and its about the only candy I (laurel) can eat.
It will be nice for all of us to be together again. It doesn't happen very often anymore. Should be fun.

ReplyDeleteHey, I was also thinking that you should assign all the families a couple of meals each to prepare. We'd love to help with the food.
